Puppy Training We do not train your dog for you we train you to train your own dog! We promote the use of rewards and encouragement and always use kind and effective training methods.
During the year we run six eight-week basic Starter Courses, including puppy socialisation, for new members with new puppies, or older dogs coming to formal training for the first time. During each course puppies below 12 months of age undergo ongoing assessment for the Kennel Club Puppy Foundation Award .
These courses are also open to existing members with new puppies, and are intended to give handlers a basic grounding in preparing their dog to be a well socialised, domestic pet. They are very much just a beginning, as nobody can possibly learn all there is to know about training a dog in eight weeks!
We find that these classes are generally not suited to dogs that have clear behavioural problems, as these will usually require more specialist attention which we are unable to provide within our training environment.
If you are looking for a friendly, active training club you are welcome to call in at our obedience training venue at Jubilee Hall, Bierton, (map) on Wednesday evenings from 7.30pm to see what we are doing and introduce yourself.
When you come, there is obviously no obligation to sign up if you decide not to. But in case you decide we are just what you are looking for, it would be very helpful (and save a lot of time on the night) if you could download, and print off, and complete the Membership Application and Course Enrolment form and bring it with you.
We would very much like to meet you and your dog, and have to ask that you bring your dogs vaccination certificate so that we can check the dog is fully protected before mixing with other dogs at the club.
Sorry we currently have no feedback.
